How do you purchase something from a team?

I always hear people that purchase things from the team. Where do they go to contact the team? Do they know someone in the organization? Does anyone know?

There are several ways to purchase direct from the team.

    1) Team FanFests and Yard Sales
    2) Some teams sell in their Stadium Shops
    3) Some NFL teams sell right from their websites
    4) MLB Auctions thru MLB.com have team auctions and the same for the NFL.com which is on eBay
    5) Team Foundation Auctions that are held as dinners, golf outings

On the old Game Used Forum site, someone put together a great master list of team sites.

    Hope that helps. Andrew

      Forgot another great way,
      (6) Buying thru dealers that have arrangements with the team that come with team letters. MeiGray with Texas Rangers, the NHL, and several NFL teams. Steiner has the NY Yankee collection.
      (7) Dealers that have great connections with their local teams. There are several teams that come to mind such as Astros, Cardinals, Cubs and Nationals.

Email me if you need further help. Andrew info@AllstarsPlus.com

I have visited the Detroit Tigers store and they have a bucket of badly cracked bats of very commons players. Its your choice for $50

            Eric,
That is a great list you posted. Much appreciated, thanks. I was just about to post the question but decided to do a search first figuring that I was not the only one in search of team contacts for game used items.

            Any updates or additions?

I have a few links to add...

            New England Patriots

            Pawtucket Red Sox

            Thanks Again,

            Mike

The Reds no longer sell game used stuff at there stadium store in Great American Ballpark. Will see if it shows up this winter at Redsfest.

                  Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to chime in that I've been to the Milwaukee Brewers team store. I think I was there in March when I went to visit my sister in Sheboygan, WI (an hour or so north of Milwaukee). I was pretty unimpressed. They had a total of two (2) game worn jerseys. I don't even recall the players but they were $250 each. They also had around a half dozen bats or so and even the Chad Moeller bats were $125. Pretty expensive with not much selection (in my opinion).

When I was at PNC Park recentley, they didn't have any game used items for sale there. Was up in Minnesota and stopped at there team pro shop (not at the stadium, they have few around town) and they had some interesting game used items for sale. About 10 bats, ranging from $50-$150. Had nice Sierra cracked bat with mlb authenticated hologram for $50. A uncraked Silva sam bat for $150 I think. Bunch of Jerseys, from $150-$300. Mostly common guys or traded player's, no big names. Had 2 Juan Castro hats, one was BP cap. $30 each for them.......anybody else got updates from other teams????

I was at Fenway this week - $300.00 for a Kevin Youkilis M9 in 2 pieces. $300.00 for a left over Edgar Renteria, $300.00 Mike Lowell DBAT. Way overpriced, most bats are in 2 pieces. Lineup cards are $125.00.

                              Angels,

Was this inside the park or across the street at the twin enterprise store. I have herd that they have a friend in the clubhouse that sells to them and then they resell, which would explain the pricing.

Did you see any game used jerseys? Back in May I got a merch catalog from the Sox and close to the back page it showed gamers and said that inventory changes frequently.

                              Just curious.

                              Mike
