    O'Neil bat.....From Steiner????????

Opinions on this bat listed on E-Bay, Comes with Steiner letter for bat and for autograph. Bat has obvious tampering on knob, no O'Neil tape on handle.........but it is from Steiner,,must be the real deal !!!

This bat may have been used by O'Neill---Eugene O'Neill the famous playwright, that is. The only time Paul O'Neill probably touched this bat was to sign it.

The knob looks like it has been sanded down and then someone inked a 21.

Why would anyone do that if it came from "Yankees / Steiner" they are telling us it's from Pauly himself !!!

I would like to see one conclusive picture of O'Neill swinging a bat in a game without a taped handle. Just one.

Here's a nice shot of what the handle should look like.....

There's a growing sense that the Yankees ship boxes of game used stuff to Steiners with no attempt to ID things, leaving Steiner staff fumbling to figure out what is what. Clearly, several Yankees items in Steiners hands seems to be getting misidentified at sale as of late. Perhaps this is one more.
