Did the 2005 Bears gamers use kiss cut style numbers?

Kiss-cut twill started in 2004 for the Bears.
I sent you an e-mail, Nil.

Gentlemen:

I am not familiar with the terminology "kiss-cut numbers" and "kiss-cut twill". Please provide a description and post photos if possible.

Thanks so much!

"Kiss-cutting" is the practice of making 2 to 3-layer twill numbers not as thick and cumbersome by simply making the "background" numbers as borders and not fully stacked layers of twill. I.E, Buccaneers home jersey numbers normally have 3-layer twill numbers: white on orange on black. Rather than have 3 stacked thickness' of twill they simply make the black and orange twill border the top white number.

Mark, don't feel like the Lone Ranger, I never heard that term either. It looks like something that Reebok may have went to in 06. I didn't look at all my 06 jerseys, just the one's that were displayed and easy. Attached are 06 jerseys of Tomlinson, Cadillac and Urlacher.

As stated before, the first examples I've seen of Reebok using kiss-cutting were in '04. The jersey from my previous post is an '04 Brian Kelly.

Is that 06 orange Urlacher gamer you own? Would love to see some pictures of that one. One of my favorite jersey looks in the NFL....

Indyred, that is the Urlacher alternate 06 jersey. Attached are some general photos. Let me know if there is something specific you want to see.

34swtns, its always good to learn something new. I guess I did not pay attention to that.

Roger,
Thanks for sharing the pics of the Urlacher. What a beauty. Based on the 3 jerseys I've seen from Brian's '06 season, he has started shortening all of his jerseys.

Seriously? You guys like the orange?

I'm a huge Bears fan, and I hate the orange. I hate them almost as much as the navy on navy they seem to break out for the Packers. That's like the Yankees wearing navy with white pinstripes for an alternate. Don't mess with what looks good.

Great jerseys by the way. Nice Urlacher!

Does anyone know where the comon player Bears alternate orange game used jerseys are from the past 2 seasons? I know game exclusives had a few for sale and couple ended up on AMI, but where are all the other one's? I'd love to find a low end one with use. Has anyone ever seen the first orange style they used in Dallas a few years ago with the black numbers. Have they ever surfaced?
