This is helpful for thos wondering whether an A-rod bat is a "game used" bat or a batting practice bat....

    Alex Rodriguez, NEW YORK YANKEES
2007 credentials: 52 home runs, 142 RBI, both tops in the major leagues
Stick story: Rodriguez used to "cup," a procedure in which the top of the bat was hollowed out to make it lighter. But these days, Rodriguez has filled in that gap and is swinging a heavier bat by about an ounce. His bat weighs 32 ounces and is 34 inches long. "I just thought I was strong enough to swing a heavier bat," Rodriguez says. "And that little extra wood might be a help with a few extra hits or maybe a home run." During batting practice, Rodriguez uses a 34-ounce bat to get loose. "I think it helps," he says.
