Cal Ripken Jr. Game Used **All-star*** Wristband

Can anyone provide any photographic evidence that Cal or anyone wore these type of wristbands during the 1988 / 89 All-Star games??

I have all of the All Star Games that Cal participated in on VHS tape & I can check, but I'd think I'd remember seeing that unique style of wrist band.

I searched and searched, and can't find one picture for you. He also has an Arod Game Used Wristband that he's says is game used, but I can't find one pic either.

I was lucky enough to find pics of a Bonds Wristband I have.

Dan, I had a chance to review both game tapes and Cal did NOT wear this style of wrist-band. In 1988, he wore an orange wristband with the "Starter/Orioles" logo on only his left hand & in '89 he wore a similar style wrist band with the only exception being that it was black in color and he wore them on both arms. As an aside, to go back to a thread on this forum from about a year ago, the bat Cal used in the '89 (blonde P72) game did have a taped handle.

          Gentlemen,

Thanks for your input..............I too, have not found any evidence of players wearing these "star-shaped" embroidered wristbands.

I wrote the seller and he responded by saying that Cal wore this in Spring Training (yeah...right). Coincidently, I found this picture on eBay from the '88 game this morning which clearly shows the wristband I described a couple days ago..

Amazing you got a response from the seller! I've tried contacting him on three different occasions and he does not reply.................a sure sign that this item is bogus! Thanks!
