I recently picked up this Yanks helmet from Steiner. As you can see in the pics, it has #39 on the brim. The outline of a 39 in the same font remains on the back to the right of the MLB logo. Part of the year on the interior clock has been blobbed out. I think this might've been done after Rawlings acquired ABC. Anyway, I'm not sure exactly when it was made. It shows awesome use, but I have no idea who used this. I checked out the Yankees by the numbers site, and none of the guys who wore 39 and batted left-handed seem to match this. Does anyone have a guess?
