I'm trying to dtermine the exact year that the Salt Lake Trappers wore the jersey below:
It's very high quality thick grey wool flannel with navy pinstripes, and felt SL on front, matching felt 25 on the reverse. Right sleeve has an embroidered patch, SALT LAKE TRAPPERS 29. The 29 is included as the Trappers won 29 consecutive games in 1987. I was told it was worn in 1988 and styled after the old Salt Lake Bees jerseys, however, am seeking confirmation.
It has a small tag in the collar, DRY CLEAN ONLY LARGE and the old Ebbets Field Flannel tag in the tail. I contacted Ebbets Field Flannels, and the Owner Jerry Cohen indicated he has no time to research this shirt.
Any insight is appreciated.
Should anyone desire to purchase this, I will listen to all reasonable offers.
