c 1970's Baltimore Colts NFL Game Used Football Helmet
The offered item is a circa 1970's Baltimore Colts game used football helmet. Extremely rare Riddell full size helment exhibits light use and is the style from 1959 to 1977. This Baltimore Colts two bar helmet is indication that it most likely was used by a quarterback or place kicker and comes complete with original chin strap ... Terrific helmet was purchased from the highly noted Hunt's Sports Auction and guaranteed 100% authentic. From the days of Hall Of Fame great quarterback Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, John Mackey and plenty more legendary Colts of seasons past.

lot's of problems with this lid - for one it's a riddell pac-44 helmet which was riddell's youth model for this era. the adult version was a pac-3. the main difference between the models is that the pac-44 (youth model) was made of abs while the pac-3 was made of the more durable, impact-resistant kralite platic. the facemask is a standard youth model mask as well.
further, the era of hof player's the seller attributes to this lid had all retired before riddell introduced this model of helmet. but, hey, hunt was able to fetch over $50k for a "game used unitas" macgregor helmet even tho unitas only wore riddell suspension helmets throughout his career...
