    Dwight Evans bat shipping records

I am not allowed to post in the bat shipping records forum, so I thought I would post it here. If the mod's want/need to move it, thats cool, I just can't post in the other forum for some reason or another.

I am looking for any and all information regarding Dwight Evans 1991 C271 LS. I just picked one up off Ebay for what I felt was a good deal and would like more information on it.

    Here is the link....

    Thanks!

Re: Dwight Evans bat shipping records

In 1991 Dwight was shipped the following Model C271 bats with a hickory finish (as seen in the link) while a member of the Baltimore Orioles:

    4/2/91 C271C (cupped) 34 inches / 32 oz 12 bats
    6/20/91 C271C (cupped) 34 inches / 31 oz 24 bats

an additional order (hickory finish) was shipped in 1992 as follows:

    2/17/92 C271C (cupped) 34 inches / 32 oz 24 bats.

During his days with the O's, the following models were also shipped to Evans; C271 (no finish - 33.5 inches), C271C (Hornsby finish - 34 inches), B310 (Black finish - 33.5 inches).

Be aware of the following Evans Orioles-era non-professional bats which were sent to Anaconda-Kaye and Dick Gordon during that period for promotional use:
    C271 uncupped 34 inches w/ natural finish
C271 uncupped 34 inches with no finish

Nice Ebay find at a very good price...

      Mike,

Thank you for taking the time to reply and for the large amount of information. I will print that out and save it for future reference.

Dwight was my childhood hero, so that bat will mean something to me, and it was my first game used bat purchase, so I'm pretty excited about it.

      Thanks again for the information.
