I found a great lot of vintage newspaper pages from the early 1900's this past week..and also a great, small publisher book from 1910 entitled "Letters to a Baseball Fan to his Son"...with hand drawn and colored period baseball cartoons. 1907 LA Daily Times w/ a photo of the Santa Barbara Baseball Team"...has equipment shown as well. Same page has two pics of "Third Baseman - Mott" and "Outfielder - Bill wallace of Portland"; 1922 Los Angeles Examiner page - "Angels grab opening game of series from Indians 8-5" also has a huge pictorial featuring "Joe Bush, Million Doallr Yankee Pitcher and "His Stuff". More to follow....

1913-Seattle paper- w. nice head shot of Ty Cobb...'Detroit Star Player Who is a Real Holdout.

1907- LA Daily Times - pic of "PITCHER RED RANDOLPH" of Los Angeles

This is my favourite - April 18, 1923 page from the NY Herald - with an ad showing Babe Ruth and inviting the reader to enjoy the story written about the opening game "in the new stadium" to appear in the paper the next day....the first day of the 1923 season..and the first game played in Yankee Stadium.
