Re: 2008 new uniforms
Other than the "Rays" which is a complete identity change (apparently, they're now the rec league team of a chain restaurant), all the uniforms shown are alternates. Kind of like the way the Jays are using a striped belt to simulate the old sansabelt pants...

Re: 2008 new uniforms
Those Royals alts would look so much better if they were going to wear them with light blue pants. It looks wierd with the white pants.__________________________________________________ _______________

Re: 2008 new uniforms
Hi ziggy...could you point me to the link of an article that speaks to the Jays plans to go back to retro duds in 2008. I loved the baby blues but am surprised that thye would go back. I can't find a reference to any changes planed for '08 an their site or other news sites. Thanks..chrisComment

re: the jays "08" unis
it's not so much the style throwback that's odd. it's the team logo. that logo was last used in 1996. it was the original logo they'd used since inception in 1977. since 1996 it's been redesigned a few times. i find it bizarre that, rather than redesign it again, they would go back to using a 12+ yr old logo.

Re: 2008 new uniforms
I thought that if they went with a retro uniform, it would be one from the early 90's.. The light blue makes does make sence, most MLB team's alternate jerseys are not white or grey in color. I would imagine it to be very well received by the fans in Toronto..Following Game Used/Worn auctions and team sales: www.twitter.com/gameusedComment

Re: 2008 new uniforms
Regarding the Jays '08 Alts:
I remember reading last month on uniwatch that they will be wearing the babyblue throwbacks on Friday home games as part of the FlashBack Fridays promotion that has run over the past couple seasons.
I think Milwaukee did a similar thing this past season.
The person who mentioned this sourced a club employee for the info.
Either way, it'll be great to see.Comment
