I'm sure X-bats stamped the W.S. store model bats differently from the pro players bats as they know people could easily forge game use and sell them as game used W.S. bats.
Here is the description directly from XBat's website:
Now get the same X BAT your favorite player swings. Same wood, same Model, same size and color with your pro's name engraved.
I e-mailed X-bats last night and asked the following question:
I was looking at your website and noticed that you are offering 2007 World Series bats. How do you distinguish a store model bat from a pro player world series game used bat. The reason I'm asking is that anyone can take one of these bats and make them look as if they were used in a pro game and sell them on the open market. What steps are you taking to prevent this?
We know which is which. All Pro Player bats are identical but have Pro Trophy on them instead of Pro Maple

They charge $135.00 for the Pro Trophy and only $95.00 for The Pro Maple...yet I can order a Pro Maple with any name I want on it and guess what, it will say Pro Maple and Not Pro Trophy....
I would love to see the email you got in response from them...
