Anything from this seller dolphinboy I would not touch! He's been known to alter non-game used items in the past to make them look game used.

I'm not sure on this jersey put his past forgeries will make me stay away from anything he sells!

If you search into previous posts on the forum you will find several write ups about dolphinboy.

Not commenting on this specific Ramirez jersey, but I would absolutely say that 2007 Red Sox jerseys got out prior to the Steiner/Red Sox agreement being signed and announced. In fact, I saw an absolutely perfect 2007 home Ortiz at this year's National on display at Sportsworld's booth. They are well known in the hobby for their contacts with Boston area athletes and teams. I don't think many legitimate non-Steiner 2007 Red Sox jerseys got out prior to the agreement, but there certainly are some. Again, this is no way a commentary on the Ramirez Cool Base jersey currently being offered on eBay.

from the steiner/ortiz lawsuit, i find this part particularly interesting:

"The suit claims Ortiz also violated the exclusivity clause of the agreement with Steiner by providing at least four other memorabilia companies with autographed and game-used memorabilia, diluting the value of what was provided to Steiner."
