    Game used from boneheaded plays

And while I am seeking opinions I am wondering if game used equipment used or worn during a game in which a player makes a boneheaded play is helped or hurt in value thanks to that play.

For instance in Game 2 of the 2006 playoffs, Torii Hunter dove for a ball and missed allowing an inside the park home run. A month ago or so the jersey he wore during that play showed up on ebay. (I believe the seller is a member here.)

So does the play affect the value of the jersey in any way?

I actually wouldn't mind something like that in my collection. As long as the bone-headed play was infamous, then I'll take it.

The best would be the hat used by Canseco when the ball bounced off his head and over the wall. Maybe even a transfer mark on the cap!!

How about the infamous Bill Buckner jersey when the ball went through the 5 hole?!

If Jeffrey Maier ever decided to cut off his arm and sell it, I'd buy it just so I could shove it in a woodchipper while screaming obscenities and sobbing uncontrollably.

I think in the case of the Hunter jersey the fact that it's a playoff jersey will make it more desirable than the error he comitted on the play. Additionally the Puckett memorial number makes it a unique one year style jersey too.
