Hello,
I was wondering who and how many GUU forum members are from Wisconsin. Also what kind of game used items do you collect. I'm from Cascade, WI and I collect game used bats from the Milwaukee Braves and Brewers. I'm just looking to see if there are more collectors out there like myself from Wisconsin. Hope to hear from some of you, Cheese Heads!!
Thanks!

I live on the West Coast, but grew up in Wisconsin. I still follow closely the Badgers and Packers. It's hard for me to follow the Brewers as they switched leagues and they don't show many (rather, any) Brewers games on the West Coast. If the Packers and Badgers football and basketball teams are doing well, as they have been in recent years, they'll show their games here.

I can practically stand in my backyard and toss a rock over the Wisconsin border. But as close as I am to your 'fine' state, I still live in Illinois and only collect Illinois sports gear, mostly Bears.

I actually bought the helmet from a member on here and he knew the person that had the jersey, pants, shoes and socks because he bought the helmet from him. So now all items are back together in my collection. It also has a COA from the University of WI that is signed by Barry Alvarez.

I also just talked with Brian Calhoun's brother today and he is going to get the helmet signed for me by Brain and his stats from that game.

Originally from Wisconsin, live across the river in Minneapolis. Collect Brewers game worn jerseys, primarily minor leaguers and a few major leaguers. Haven't picked one up in a while due to a lack of funding!

Who was your favorite?

I really liked Jim Taylor and James Lofton, they seemed to be the most personable.

My dad and I went to the bathroom museum in Kohler Wisconin. It was quite neat actually-- the history of the toilet. I've been through Neenah many times, as it was on the way to my grandparent's in the UP.

He has a radio show in the milwaukee area and was one of the first to rip Favre. Looking back its not very surprising to hear someone ripping favre on loyalty.

Milwaukee area here.

Don't have too much GU stuff - some Brewers jerseys and bats. Probably the most unique item is the base used for 1st base during the 2nd half of the only playoff game we won in 2008 against Philly.

Figured it would be a nice souvenir from that season, and now it's looking like it could be another 25 years before another playoff win, so it's pretty rare :p

It's a derogatory term used often in Chicago-Milwaukee/Green Bay sports rivalries. It's an acronym for F**K**G Illinois B**t*r*s.

grew up in La Crosse, now live in kenosha, Dislikes the Packers, Bucks and Brewers.

Grew up with distaste for a few local fans, so I chose the Buccaneers and Rays as my teams to go against the grain. And I dislike the bears and vikings even more, so i couldn't like them...

Also, little know fact... since the bucs 1st season in 1976 more wisconsin born players have played for the Buccaneers than the Packers, so maybe I am cheering for the home team...

david greenwood - played for both bucs and packers
bill schroeder - played for both bucs and packers

paul gruber greatest wisconsin born buc of all time.
