Ken Griffey Jr. Game Used bat? ESM COA?

This bat is clearly not a bat griffey used and what has me wondering is why does it have an ESM coa?

I just saw this bat and it made me laugh. Seriously, what was Elite thinking?

Also look at all the current bats he listed, there all cracked in half and are only the barrell that seems fishy to me and are all from ESM.

I'd love to see someone from Elite come and defend this bat.

I think possibly someone is doing a little tampering with the holograms...reason I am saying that is take a look at the Michael Jordan signed baseball they have as well. My Jordan UDA baseball is signed on an official major league baseball, where as the one in the pic is on one of those cheap official league, made in China balls....seems very fishy to me. Maybe they took a COA from an official Griffey Jr GU bat and slapped on a generic Elite logo?

          Thoughts?

            Dear bigtruck260,

Jordan never signed any AL or NL balls for Upper Deck, he only signed Wilson Official MLB spec premium leather baseballs like this one. These balls resist toning much better and hold the signatures longer than traditional AL or NL balls.

Untrue...I will photgraph mine later, but here is a link to one I found online...as you can see, there is no "China" visible above the seams.

Well, Ricky honey, there was this baseball bat, and I, well, you see dear, I thought that it was game used, you know, because Elite said so, and I, well, I saw that it had the markings of a retail bat, but well, THEY TRICKED ME!

I believe that they really did tamper with holograms. Take a look at his other auctions for all the other broken bats. I don't remember ESM ever selling anything of Griffey,Payton,Valentine,or Ventura so this definitely is suspicious.

Also, look at the hologram placement. ALL bats in his auctions have the hologram on the right side of the name on the barrel. ESM normally places them in different areas, and not always in the same spot.

ok guys I've been looking these auctions over for a little bit and in my opinion I believe they're all fake. I don't ever remember ESM selling ANY bat that was broken in half. They've sold plenty of cracked bats, but nothing broken like the ones in their auction. The bats he has have not been sold by ESM in the past and like I had already said, the holograms are in the exact same spot in every auction. I will try to contact ESM tomorrow and I will ask them to check out these auctions to see what they say about them.

I don't remember shipping Griffey any of our store line, twenty dollar bats to be used as gamers either. He hasn't ordered a clear/ blonde bat in years.

absolutely shocking! not since the last ESM debacle, or the 20 debacles prior, have i been so surprised. kyle the next thing you'll tell me is that ESM has no plans to come on this forum and address this issue.

anyway, i don't know what all the fuss is about. "These bats were all broken during use, and collected by a clubhouse member... The benefit of buying a piece of memorabilia from Elite Sports Marketing (ESM) is that we obtain 99% of the items from the athletes themselves".

so there you go. 99%! what more proof do you need? they even issue LOAs with generic holograms for petes sake! can't get much more official than that.

                              "bid with confidence! guaranteed authentic!"
