    Pittsburgh Steelers Game Used Jersey

Hello, I was wondering what anyone thinks about this Randle El Game Used Jersey with an 01-44 tag sewn in? Here is the link for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/PITTSBURGH-STEEL...QQcmdZViewItem
I haven't seen to many game used Steeler jerseys. It looks really small to me. Any info would be great.
    Thanks,
    Michael T. Neville

I'm no Steelers jersey expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express once...and I watch the Steelers.

I think ARE's rookie year was 2002. Could be a recycled jersey I suppose. Why would he add the patch to gamer? I actually thought size 44 might be a little big. Hard to tell because so many Steelers 'gamers' on the market are iffy, it's hard to find a legit one to use as a reference for size. The sleeves look right, the cut looks right.

The Bettis jersey must simply be a custom job. The last time Jerome wore size 42 was in the 4th grade and his game jersey would be pretty long.

So if he customized one, did he customize two?

What year did they change the NFL shield?

I did a quick search for ARE on Getty and it looked like his jerseys had the newer shield...but I just took a glance at a couple of pics.

I avidly collect Pittsburgh sports memorabila and believe that there are a lot of convincing fake Steeler "gamers" roaming around out there. Fortunately, these are not two of them!

No question about it that these are fake. I looked at these the other day and I could not believe someone would actually sell these as game used Steelers jerseys.

Once again, it's BAAACK......I was expecting to see this "beaut" surface again this week and lo and behold, the seller did not disappoint. He has toned down his rhetoric, though, relative to the last time.

Interestingly, he's back to claiming that he added the Super Bowl patch himself (first time, he said he did it, second time, the Steelers and now, he's back to claiming he did it).

If he has admitted to adding a Super Bowl Patch to a gamer, then maybe he'll admit to adding the "01-44" swatch in the collar in his next listing.
