is there any site that will say when a MLB player changed number during the middle of a season? I know a certain player wore 2 numbers in 1 season but do not know when that switched...

I should say, that it won't tell you exactly when the player switched. For instance, I know Barrett and Garciaparra switched in 2004. It doesn't specify the exact date, but will tell you both numbers.
