    One Player, Many Different Bats

Have you noted that a particular player seems to have a hard time settling on one model or brand of bat?

I just picked up a couple of Alex Cintron bats, and when I went to catalog them, I realized that, of the seven of his bats that I have, no two are the same.

There's a Sam model 73, Louisville Slugger models C332, M110 and 318, a Glomar G-353, a bwp 110, and a Diablo M356. The Glomar was used in the Puerto Rican Winter League, but all the others are from Alex's time with the DBacks. Weird.

I am not a bat expert but i think players experiment with different bats and get these from the bat company for free.

I collect Magglio Ordonex bats and he switches bats like I change my underewear. I have actually seen him use 3 different bats in the same game. From this season alone he has used approx 7 different brands.

Miguel Cabrera is one of my favorites, and he changes bats about as often as I change my underwear (about once a season).
        Thanks,

Is there any bat company in America that has NOT made a bat for Manny Ramirez?

i think the same can be said for Ray Lankford.

dude used (seemingly) every imaginable model and style known to the modern baseball player.

these are just the ones that i personally know of. i'd be willing to wager bigtrucks entire collection that there are more.

            Louisville Slugger C235, C243, M110
            Mizuno
            Rawlings Big Stick
            Young Co.
            Nike (very rare)
            Sam bats
            X-Bats

all models in different styles to boot.

i personally have 16 Lankford bats covering 6 different models and 9 differnt styles.

to be honset, i think Ray having used so many different variations lends itself to a better collecting experience for me.

if someone knows of more, by all means let me know.

                Manny has used them all!

Another player that comes to mind is Vladimir Guerrero.

                  Hey Don -

I think if I remember correctly, Ray used several different Big Sticks too.

Andruw Jones, Edgar Renteria, and Yunel Escobar each used 5 different brands in 2007. I wonder who holds the record for most bats used
