Something new to add to G/U Collection

Since I've got eight G/U jerseys for each corner of my display room. Bats, baseballs, cards galore I wanted something different to add and I started to collect handwritten letters and notes from players which I'm surprised to find are very affordable compared to G/U items. Here's a sampling of what I collected in the past month.

Thanks. In the near future,I'll be posting more and other auto items in the "Autograph Forum" which has been under represented when you consider thats where most of us got our start.
Go to the top of this page, click "Forums",and then click "AutographForum".

I am glad you posted here. i think more people will get the chance to look at it here than at autograph forum. that other forum is dead unfortunantly

Tfig27-Yea ,I cut the McLain,Jones and Brooks Robinson mats myself. I don't bevel the cut anymore cause it harder to do by hand(the Robinson is a 30x28 frame that I assembled myself, and bought a 30x36 plexiglass -$13 Home Depot-and cut the glass to size) the rest came with the frames
                  fraudfinder-those are beautifull pieces.

                    Nice items, folks!
When I was a kid, John Wooden sent me a 2-page handwritten letter about his UCLA teams...I should frame it. I inherited a few Presidential autographed letters, also. The Brooks Robinson letter reminded me that I was a foot soldier in the Robby Revolution!

                      both-teams-played-hard,
That Wooden letter is very valuable and significant. Either keep it out of light and dry or frame it with a nice photo. Especially a two-pager.

I took all my photographs from Corbis. Right click "save Picture As" to Documents.then close out "X". Hit Start button at bottom left corner of computer. Hit."My recent documents". Find photo. Hit the photo. Microsoft Picture Manager will display the photo. Hit the "printer" symbol and then chose your format to size. Have photo paper and you can make any photo. The Corbis watermark isn't that bad. In fact its very light as you can see from my photos of Vandermeer,Jones,McLain,etc-all Corbis photos. Go to crafts stores AC MOOre or Michaels for frames that are always on sale AC Moore sells mats for about $7. Pennysaver has 40%coupons for any one item=mat is $4.00. AC Moore sells the mat cutter well you get the idea.

Thanks for the great Wooden photos! The letter is safe and sound, away from any sunlight...I have yet to frame the letter, because of laziness. I do have a collection of Wooden photos and magazines. Wooden is a hero for ALL generations!
