Re: FUNNY. Differents points of view
I see the point.
One guy knows the card is worthless, while the other is trying to attract attention to his auction(s) by offering a worthless item at an opening bid of what it is worth to have Drazen Petrovic come sign autographs at your son's Bar Mitzvah.Comment

On www.beckett.com you can buy 189 1990-1992 Hoops Drazen Petroviv Rookie #248 for between four cents and .99 cents each.
No one is going to pay $5000.00 for the card, is it worth less than a dollar so there is no debate except that some idiot wants some attention.Comment

Re: FUNNY. Differents points of view
I emailed the person and asked about the $5,000 they listed for the card, they replied back " I need the money" with a laughing signs next to it. Which leads me to believe that it is a kid messing around!!!
I was about to say i he gets $5,000 for that card I would shoot myself. When that particular set came out I was big into collection basketball cards and I bought cases of the hoops cards. I must have about 100 of those Drazen Petrovic rookie cards.
If he gets $5,000 for one card then I am a rich man!!!Comment

Re: FUNNY. Differents points of view
I remember in 1990 when ProSet Football had a card of Payne Stewart included in the set. We had one of the cards in our showcase with a $100.00 price tag on it. It hasn't sold in a month, and the market had dropped to around $5.00 each.
Of course, that day a guy from the office above our store comes in with 100 of the cards thinking he has a gold mine because of our out-dated priced card.
He did have two of the cards autographed by Payne in green marker (to match the color of the card's Green Bay Packer theme) and I did buy one which is still in my personal collection.Comment
