Not saying it is or isn't but that is the same seller that I was looking to purchase an Aaron Boone bat from. The only thing is the bat has a rubber grip built into the bat, and I just kind find anywhere that boone ever used it. Sorry, if that made your choice a little more confusing.

Seller lists bat/player with several teams, to include the Cardinals. Joel wore #40, played for St Louis only in 1977. This bat vintage is a few years later, look at 1983-86. Don't much believe this could be a Cardinal bat..
