    Jay Bruce question

Does anybody have one of his bats from 2005 or 2006?

I am close to purchasing one from that time period and would like to see what type of tape job he had then, if any at all.

    Thanks

Are you going with that one on EBAY or did you find another?

I've been watching that one also, just to admire. Not sure if I want the signature and #32 for that price.

Trying to get the seller to come down a little on the price eh?

          Re: Jay Bruce question

          Hi,

I own 2 Bruce bats, and can tell you that the one in question is legit. I have a black S 318 that I talked to Jay about, and I also have a black Old Hickory. As far as I remember, I have never known Jay to tape his bats. Usually light tar/mota, etc.

Also, the one in question has been up for quite some time. The seller keeps raising the price on it. It was the weirdest thing...he would put it through a regular 7 day auction, and it would end with no bids. Then, instead of lowering the price like most sensible sellers would do when their items don't sell at their asking price, he raised it. I believe it started at 249.95, and at one point hit 499.95, then it was dropped to 479.95 for a bit. Good luck haggling!

          hth,
          Josh

Haha. Sorry guys, they're not for sale. They were just good deals that I happened on, and since I'm a Reds collector, I had to go for it. He's one of the guys that I'm going to try to collect as much g/u stuff as I can...as long as it's affordable.
