Re: Odalis Perez GU Jersey Opinion
I'm no expert on Braves jerseys, but it seems to me that the tagging would give it a Set 1 of 2000, which is definitely different than a 1998 Rookie Gamer he claims it to be. Additionally, the tag in the auction seems like it's on a white jersey, not the road jersey that he shows in the auction. -

I e-mailed to seller and asked if he had the wrong pictures posted. Also, one thing I've noticed though is that if you take a close-up picture of a grey road jersey, it can sometimes appear to look white like a home jersey, it all depends on the flash though I believe.kylehess941@hotmail.com

Re: Odalis Perez GU Jersey Opinion
Here is an update,
This is the response I got, which explains some of the questions I had about the jersey earlier.
Hi Andrew:
Sorry the pic with the 1-00 was the wrong pic for the Perez shirt as it was the tag for the Rudy Seanez shirt I listed at the same time. The pic has been repelaced with the correct one. Because Perez was called up alte in 1998 his shirt would not have the year tag on it but it is a Braves jersey from the tagging. The Certificcate of Authenticity come from Ballpark Heroes as well know dealer that buys directly from the major league clubs. Thanks for writting and looking. All my shirt in my collection are certified to be game used jerseys. I have an extensive collection of Braves items going back 30 years.
Jim
Additionally, when looking through photos from 1998, most of the Atlanta Braves have a nameplate which has lettering that style changes with the position on the jersey, instead of the font that wraps around like this Perez does. This is most likely caused by Perez being called up in September and the jerseys had to be made at a different time, than the original jerseys issued to the regular season roster.
