i just purchased this without thinking about asking questions. i am a bit familiar with what the label looks like for 68-70 and 71-79, but i have not seen this one? can someone verify that adirondack used the number 302 on top and bottom? it is a model 129A, so it has to be a pro bat. look at the pic and let me know.

Re: adirondack gamer?
According to the 1994 book BATS, Adirondack used the dual 302 stamping in 1971. For those who have the book this information is on page 81 with accompanying photo (Exhibit AD 29) on page 80. -

I wanted to bid on that bat, but I didn't get home until after the auction ended. It's a 1971 bat Hague used with the Cardinals. If you'd like to sell it, let me know. Thanks.

Re: adirondack gamer?
hi jeff;
i probably will sell it. i want to get some bats that resemble what clemente used; U1, 129X, 194RW. this one is a 129A. i don't know what the difference is.
anyway, i am looking for an H&B U1, uncracked, or adirondack 129X or 194RW. when i find it, i will sell this one. i don't have any old adirondacks so this one will be nice for a while.Comment

Re: adirondack gamer?
I'm sure they overlooked it. The double 302 stamping is common on 1971 bats. I have a Ted Simmons bat stamped that way -- it's the only non-contract (block letter) Simmons Adirondack bat I have. My holy grail (well, one of them) is a double 302 Joe Torre bat.Jeff Scott
