I bought this nice ball from Coach's Corner. (Thanks SCD!) I wouldn't let it go for less than $50,000....

I got the new SCD yesterday, there was a 2 page article on Coaches Corner and how they are doing so great and expanding. I am surprised they had enough time to sit down and do an interview, I guess they were letting the ink dry on all their autographs.

Mine would have to be my... Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, George Washington, Josh Gibson, multi-signed (on Barry Bond's record breaking asterisk ball)... I'll post pictures when it comes in from Coaches Corner.
            Thanks,
            Jimmy

Re: What Is Your Most Expensive Item?

                  Game used !!!!

I would have to say my Wade Boggs 1999 bat gamer and my 2007 Aki Iwamura Nike bat .....
Boggs bats seem to be going up .....

I paid good money for both of my Canseco gamers , excellent provenance JoseCanseco.com and Reggie Jackson.com

My biggest collectible is still sports related but it sits in the garage ! It is one of only 495 SS Camaro's built in 2001 (out of a total 6331 made that year) to receive the Center Mount Exhaust . This provided an additional 10 horses...The SS came stock with a Corvette LS-1 motor....

My cars build number is 3995 out of 6331 .

My wife bought me this car for our 10th Wedding Anniversary 3 years ago .....very sweet !!!

You can always verify if a car is a true SS by calling SLP Performance and give them the VIN , they only need the last EIGHT numbers . Some people try and fake cars too ! There are a lot of "clone" SS Camaro's out there .

SLP added all the extra performance stuff to the Camaro's in 2001 and 2002 through contract with GM......
                  Thank you,
                  David

I was kidding about the Ruth ball. I think a 5 year old would know the difference. I grabbed the photo from Richard Simon's site - and the title of the photo is "eBay Crap"...if you have never seen his site - just Google it.

He is a pretty valuable guy - IMO, more so than JSA, PSA or any of the other "authenticators".

I don't like sending images over the internet (or email) of things over a certain value.
I put the link to my site under my signature - you can see some of my stuff there.

Just explaining why there was sarcasm in my post.

No way. You simply won't find a better Ruth signed OAL MacPhail ball than this one. Anyway, it already got an "8" by highly-qualified forensic expert examiner Chris Morales.
