    Ink Transfers

Can anyone tell me the correct ink transfer colors (from a batted baseball) that go with the appropriate years? I know the American and Nat. leagues used to have different colored balls and now they all use a MLB ball.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Through the 1999 season, the AL balls had a light blue ink, the NL balls had black ink. Since 2000, the ink on all game balls has been mid/dark blue.

Kahuna, Both Leagues began using the Standard colored (Medium Blue) MLB Baseball during the 2000 Season. The older Amer. League Balls are a lighter Blue, Nat. League (of course) are a standard Black color. There are (or may be) variences with Practice balls, Playoffs & specially World Series Balls. I know the Angels (during practice) use Balls that have Blue, Green & sometimes Black transfer Marks...Hope this helps?
