    Pre-rookie Jeter Bat

Here are photos of the pre-rookie Jeter bat that i posted about two months ago. The son of the people that are selling my house own this bat and would like to know what it is worth. He got it at a game up in albany. Jeter broke the bat and would not give him the bat but the kid kept looking at him and jeter finally gave it to him. Enjoy Also do you guys think i should tell the people's son that he should type up a nice letter as to how he got the bat. Thanks

Looks like you have a very rare 1994 Jeter minor league Rawlings GU bat. The 225S is the model number with the "S" signifying smaller sized bat (is the bat 33"?) The 94 of course the the year stamp and the other number is most likely the 3 digit batch number.

In 1994 Jeter spent time playing in the Yankees Double-A affiliate in Albany and was named Minor League Player of the year by Baseball America.

                Nice find!

Small world... my neice is there right now and I graduated for BP in 98. Anyway it is a very nice bat, and in my opinion, a letter couldn't hurt, but for a secondary sale at a later time, I personally never have put too much into someone saying how they recived an item, unless they had a background as a player rep, equipment manager, and so on.... but again, i't can't hurt, it could only help...
