Hi Jay - from the years 1980 through the end of 1985, Eddie Murray placed 41 orders of R161 bats. It really was the predominant bat he used during this period. Bats were typically 35" - 36" in length and weights varied from 32 ounces - 38 ounces, with most being in the 34 ounce to 36 ounce range. He placed orders for Hickory finished bats, as well as wide grain flame burned finishes and some orders had no finish details. There are numerous orders during this period for R161 model bats by Baseball Miscellaneous that could well have been promotional orders that never made their way into Eddie's hands. As I have talked about in some of my blogs, it is important to understand his use characteristics - such as how Eddie used to pen his #33 on the knob of his bats. I have owned several Murray bats and if you need any help in this area, please don't hesitate to contact me. Jim

I have an autographed Eddie Murray player model bat from the Dodgers- LS M275. It's a cool bat black and one of my favorites. -Kevin
