I don't know if this is a photo match in the traditional sense but today I got an e-mail from Florida Marlins equipment manager John Silverman confirming that my 2006 Dontrelle Willis Black Alternate jersey was worn on May 16, '06 in a road game he pitched against the Braves. I found this photo on Getty from that particular game.
I was told that the Marlins catalogued each jersey of Dontrelle's based on the last 3 digits of the strip tag and the game he pitched. Not sure if they did it for all seasons or just this one? Anyhow, I wrote a letter to him recently asking about my jersey so I was pretty excited to hear back from him.
