I don't see Ben Oglivie on your list anymore. Did you score one of his bats recently?

Dewey2007,
I'm still looking for a Ben Oglivie game used bat. I'm still looking for bats from the 1982 Brewers team. Do you have or know of any Oglivie bats?
Jamie

Jamie, just the info I e-mailed to you earlier this week about the bats I sold to John Taube is the only info I have on any Brewers bats.

Dewey2007,
John emailed and told me the name of the guy who bought those bats from him and it's a guy I know. Thanks for your help, if you come across any other Brewers bat please let me know.
Thanks,
Jamie

I seen a game used Gorman Thomas bat on eBay that Zanebats has for sale. Check it out if you haven't already.

Dewey2007,
Thanks for the heads up on the Gorman Thomas bat. I've been watching it the last couple of days.

It's amazing how much Gorman's stuff goes for. That is a 1977 Minor league bat (Gorman wore #20 starting in '78) and still people have bid it up well over $200 already. I still don't understand why they all try to outbid each other so early. There's 8 freakin days left!!!!

Maybe because they have someone bidding up the auction for them. ha, only kidding, but I guess you never know.

But you made a valid point as far as the year is concerned. He did wear #3 for '75 and '76, and this is obviously a 77-79 model, making you hitting it right on the dot for 1977 when he played for Spokane and had 36 HR's and 114 RBI's!!!

I myself can't believe the Gorman Thomas bat has been bid up like that. I noticed one of the bidder is Dave Bushing of MEARS, one of Zane's buddies no big suprise there!
Thanks,
Jamie

I don't know what you are implying there Jamie. My point was not that anything fishy was going on...or to take a jab at anyone personally. I just don't understand why people bid so early. Also, I have no idea who is bidding since the ID's are kept private. Personally I don't think Burns or Bushing are trying to swindle anybody. They both seem like good guys to me.

My only other point was that I find it unbelievable that people are willing to pay so much for a minor league bat of a player with a .225 lifetime batting average (as much as I love the guy too). Heck, I have Thomas bats that were used in MAJOR LEAGUE games...they must be worth millions

Scott,
I wasn't trying to say anything bad about Zane or Dave. I was just making an observation on the bidding. They both buy from each other all the time. I just can't understand why some one like that would bid so early and run it up. I know it's just a minor league bat, that's why I can't understand this bidding. I'll just have to wait for another Gorman Thomas bat.
Thanks,
Jamie
