Would be interested in your opinion of the Gabriel lid in that auction, Robert.

given that i'm a lifelong rams' fan, the gabriel lid grabbed my attention as well and i'm going to try and take a closer look this evening if i get a chance. however, the problem with gabriel is that he wore quite a few lids during his days with the rams, almost exlusively rk lids until the end, so trying to determine if the gf item actually belonged to him at one time could be tough. the guys at helmet hut feature two game-used gabe lids at their site, rk lids, which are different than the one at gf - so that would make it 3 and counting if the gf lid did belong to gabriel....

This Dawson helmet was sold in a Mastro auction in November 1999. They provided a nice photomatch in the catalog listing. The realized price was $9517.
