A few issues with this jersey:
SIZE: Wilson tag in the tail reads 46. Schmidt wore a 44 until 1980, then only wore a 46 for part of 1979 and 1980.
YEAR/SET: Not only is the embroidery incorrect, the tag is the style used from 1977-1986 (although there are a few 1976 dick Allen's with similar tagging that have entered the marketplace). This tag should have the size, 76 SET 1 or 2. In this case, if it was done correctly, it would read 46 76 Set 2 A sample of the tail tagging:13121
NAME IN COLLAR: The Swiss style embroidery is not even close to what should be found on a Wilson jersey of this era. A sample of the collar tagging from my 1976 Ron Schueler:13122
NAME ON BACK: The name SCHMIDT appears to made from hand cut letters. Note how the T is not cut correct vertically, and almost appears to bend. Name from my 1976 Schueler.
FRONT NUMBER POSITION: The bottom of the numbers should be even with the bottom of the P. Example of my 1976 Schueler:11294

This information has been forwarded to Chris Ivy at Heritage.

I was contacted this afternoon via email by Chris Ivy at Heritage. Chris noted that he had followed up with the original auctioneers of these shirts from 1996 (Rich Russeck at Grey Flannel) and Rich agrees that the jerseys were not correct.

Chris further noted that both the Carlton and Schmidt have been pulled

it's comforting to know that neither richie russek, andy imperato, or lou lampson caught either of these. two from "the standard of the industry" and the other being "the foremost authority and analyst in the field".

i can understand 1 authenticator missing something but all 3? on 2 jerseys?

top notch. if i didn't know better i swear something was going on.
