Re: Barry Bonds..Need help on Date(s) of order on bat
Hi Taylor--
Here is some info from the early-to-mid part of his career--
Barry Bonds' first documented order of Louisville Slugger model H238 was dated 9/21/87 (34 in / 32 oz Wax finish which would be called Natural by most collectors.) During that labeling period, 1986-89 he also ordered H238 in 33.5 in / 32 oz. Wax finish bats would all be uncupped, with numerous orders of Flame Treated finish bats both cupped and uncupped.
All H238 orders in 1990 were Flame Treated finish. 34 in / 32 oz with the majority being cupped.
During 1991-1997 period, all H238 orders were Flame Treated or Slight Flame Treated finish with the following exceptions: 5/21/97 H238C (majority were cupped) 33 in / 31 oz Natural finish 6 bats 6/16/97-- as above 12 bats
Possibly someone out there can assist with Bonds' records after 8/13/97
