An Honest Man / An Honest Auction House

Here is one of the reasons I have ALWAYS placed Robert Edward Auctions and Rob Lifson at the top, with their honesty and integrity in regard to auctions.

Why bother with any of these others, excluding present company.

Re: An Honest Man / An Honest Auction House

a very encouraging piece of news given what apparently goes on at auction houses. however i'm not sure why dave grob added the following:

"if I had waited, the conspiracy theorists will suggest it was kept out of the public eye until after the bidding was complete. REA does not run that type of auction and quite frankly, MEARS would have had no part in this either."

i mean why would canceling an auction early because of a rule violation cause anyone to believe something was rotten in the state of denmark, even if it had not been revealed until the rea auction had concluded? why would this provide fodder for conspiracy theorists? seems to me that it would only benefit rea to make this public as early as possible, before the auction ended, to further demonstrate rea's integrity and professionalism...
