View Full Version : Giants SB Game Issued Pickup

I picked up one of the Giants SB jerseys from their site, Kevin Boothe, #77. I thought the jersey would have been unused. It has a 2006 tag in it, the nameplate has been changed and there are about five team repairs on the shoulders. It had either been used by Boothe earlier during 07, or used by Luke Petitgout in a previous year. The Giants apparently recycled this jersey when Petitgout went to Tampa Bay. I guess it was issued for the SB but not worn by Boothe for the SB, but it has been well used.

The SB patch is sewn on by machine. As best I can tell, the remaining $300 jerseys are for players who were inactive on SB Sunday.

hey tom,

nice pickup. youre right, the jersey was probably used by luke last year. thats kind of strange though. i noticed that some of the jerseys had '06 tags and some had what looked like removed year tags. i picked up the pope jersey. i picked that one b/c 300 was all i could afford and b/c i have his london practice jersey.

do the jerseys come with coa's from the giants?

I added a few pics. The jersey came with an inventory tag and a COA. Note the game wear on this "issued" jersey and the nameplate change.

Hi Tom,

I picked up the Umenyiora and noticed the same thing. My SB XLII jersey had an 06 year tag, a few red paintmarks like your Boothe, and a burn on the numbers.

The way Skiba burns through jerseys I would have thought these SB backups would be all new. The Giants seem to kick out more jerseys than most teams.
