    Daniel Boone: Pioneer, time traveler

This cracks me up to no end. Even funnier is that somebody's actually put a bid on it! Our good buddies in Souderton really outdid themselves with this one.

FREE Joe Jackson single-signed OAL Budig ball to anyone who can guess what's wrong with it!!

This very rare item may be the 1st one we have ever sold from the great American pioneer and book value is near 5 grand! It is a great example, signed in ink on a 2x4 paper piece and dated from 1781. It grades a clean 7.5, comes authenticated as real by the team at Stat Authentic and comes with a realistic starting bid. Do not even try to find another one...

Uh - I'll stab at it...

Is it the typed print below the inscription of 1789? or is that 1489? Now I'm confused...

That's got to be 1781, which would make more sense.

Definitely looks like a "4" to me. According to CC's own description: "It is a great example, signed in ink on a 2x4 paper piece and dated from 1481." Which means Boone "signed" it over 250 years before his own birth!

In grammar school, they taught us a rhyme...

'In fourteen hundred and eighty-nine, Boone came to Coach to sign.'

...or was that the one about Columbus? Aw, heck, whatever...

You know, this could lead to a whole new world of learning for our poor disavantaged tots. The Coach could emulate the legendary Bill and Ted, bringing legendary historical figures to meet their class in-person! Imagine the endless possibilities!

Thank you Coach for bringing hope to the children of our great nation.

Has to be a 7, Boone was borned in 1734. Doesn't mean it is or isn't legit of course.

              A real Boone:

Is coach's corner part of the Mafia? Mike O'Keefe should publish a book&record set about this operation. I had my eye on that 2$ bill signed by Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth. However, they have a real Bob Feller for sale.

              C'mon...SCD...pull the plug!
