I watched a video from a 1979 Giants game. The font seems to be wrong on the jersey and the letters are too close together. Plus it looks like these are sewn right to the jersey rather than a nameplate.

its hard to tell, but the jersey in the card appears to have larger letters screened onto a nameplate and then sewn onto the jersey. as nyg44 mentioned, the one in the auction has the letters sewn right onto the jersey. there is some bidding action on the jersey now. any other thoughts??
