I know nothing of game used jerseys and such, but was wondering what you guys think of this uniform. There is nothing stitched or written on the jersey or pants that would indicate it actually belonged to Raines so I'm wondering did Rawlings make uniforms like this available to the public in the 1980s?

SlideKelly if memory serves me correct the thread which shows you the tags, like I said if memory serves me correct the tags that are only sewn on 2 sides means it would be a retail jersey.

the jersey is a store-bought jersey. the tag is a retail tag. as well, it's missing strip-tagging which the expos used during raines' tenure. if i were in the market for a raines' expos gamer, i wouldn't touch it with a 10-ft pole.

yes, those jerseys were available via retail channels to the public during the 80s.

I had a Raines road jersey from '87 or '88 that I sold sometime ago. If I remember correctly, the tags were in the collar and it had the strip tag in it as well. I purchased it out of an ad in SCD way back in the late 80's early 90's. The Rawlings tag did not look like this one. I agree with the other posters, this looks retail.
