    Comments on this youkilis bat?

Anyone else think the grain on this eBay Youk bat looks odd? The close up of the name and model looks funky to me. Most of the M9's with a normal black finish don't show any grain on the barrel, but this one does. Why? Is it maybe a promo bat with a different finish, just heavy use...or perhaps I am just looking to hard for a problem!

Also, the alignment ofthe name and model and team do not match the Steiners I have seen more recently. Steiner wants $500 for a broken Youk bat...gulp...

It's not an M9 - looks like a regular ash bat...
Smith finish bats make it hard to discern grain - but this looks like a single dip finish black bat.

All the Ash bats that he has ordered from us were just regular black bats. Last time he ordered Ash from us was 2006 a dozen bats.

I am a moron for not noticing this is not an M9 before asking the question.

I was comparing it to his usual 2007-present M9's.

            Matt,

Did you buy it? It has been taken down.

I did not buy the one on eBay. Maybe another forum member did. I run hot and cold on buying a Youkilis bat. He is one of only Sox 2 starters whose bat I do not own (crisp is the other), but I have never gotten excited enough about him to pay up. This looks like a good year for him though, so maybe I need to pony up!
