I already sent him a message just wondering how he got it. Claimed he knew somebody that played for the Reds in the 70's and 80's and works with them during spring training.... Just put up a nice Homer Bailey jersey that I wouldn't mind adding to the collection.

I am a little suspect on all of his items. He is also selling 2008 game used home jerseys of Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis and Curtis Granderson. All of the jerseys are missing the elaborate strip tagging that the Tigers use. I can't remember the last time I ever saw a Tigers Majestic jersey that did not have the strip tagging in the front by the Majestic label.

Could be wrong, but font on both the lettering & numbers doesn't match up..NOB should be outlined in black, numbers should be "shadowed"..there are some pics on gettyimages to compare..Jay

What about the strip tagging in the Ordonez jersey? Doesn't it list his number as 3 as opposed to 30?

The seller told me he bought the Tigers jerseys in May from a player on the 40 man roster but couldn't divulge the name. Said he wasn't sure if they were ST or regular season jerseys.

What player would sell jerseys of other players during the season?

The Tigers jerseys are very suspect without the tagging. Even if they were from spring training, there would be the same type of tagging just with a "ST" as well.

The Jay Bruce jersey sold for $1,100 this week. I take it that the buyer didn't know that this jersey is supposed to have a 2-color back name in a different size and a 3-color back number...??? The ebay jersey is missing a lot of obvious details. Looks like the buyer didn't know what he was doing, and is now out over a grand.

Man, I wouldn't pay $1,100 for a real spring training jersey of anybody this side of Willie Mays or Hank Aaron. Yikes, somebody wanted that thing badly!
