    Beechwood B9 bats?

Anyone know the history of beechwood bats? I've see some labeled with B9 from Louisville Slugger and few from 2004 with Pro Beechwood label next to the Louisville Slugger centerbrand with laser labeling. Was production of this style wood being used stopped after 2005? I know BMH said they used B9 label again this spring for Louisville Slugger birchwood bats that were experimented with. Would be cool if people posted pictures of beechwood bats they own in here. Interested in what player's used them. Seems they are quite rare. Did any other bat makers make them besides Louisville Slugger. Why did they stop making them. Did player's not like the wood?
