What can anyone out there tell me about the 250 model Louisville sluggers?

It seems that there is just not that much info out there about them.

The 250 model was offered by Louisville slugger in the early part of the century. It was one of therehighest quality and most expensive bat. The bats were available for retail, as well as in the professional levels.

I know the basics...

but if they were of such great quality and supposed gamers are there so few out there?

also... why do Ruth 250 bats go for $5000 or less when his 125 gamers go for hundreds of thousands?

not super descriptive... but according the Louisville Slugger Museum website...

What does the “125” stand for in the Louisville Slugger logo?

The “125” refers to the grade of wood used to make the bat. 125 is the highest grade and is reserved for all pro level bats. All of the 125 lumber is sent to the Louisville factory.
