Just to brag a bit...
My father used to lend cars to many of the Phillies players back in the 80s and early 90s. I would always ask for signed bats from any of the players he worked with (and anyone else who would listen.) The bats had been in my parents house until this past week when I flew in and packed them up and shipped them to my home in Miami. I hadnt gone through the bats in years. I would guess only about 30-40% are used and the rest issued but almost all at least have numbers on the ends and rack marks. Its a lot more Luis Aguayo and Steve Jeltz than Carlton, but still very cool stuff. They just arrived yesterday so Ill be photographing them and checking the wanted ads to see what I have that some of you may want. There are a few from other team too. When the selling forum gets up and running Ill be selling some (but keeping many.) Great memories but now of course a space issue. there are a good 75 bats (and a few uniforms.)
Here is a picture of the 3 boxes I shipped them in that I just opened (50lbs a box...DHL earned some bucks.) Also kudos to my wonderful wife who lovingly bubblewrapped each bat.
