Ok. So the Tigers had a sale at the game today on a bunch of old BP jerseys. No current players so unless you are really good at remembering older players numbers it was kind of confusing. I guess most of them were from the early 2000's or even later. While almost giving up I pull out a #42. I think I found a pretty decent diamond in the rough. From my research it was Jose Lima who was the last Tiger to wear the number before it was retired for Jackie Robinson and he was here for 2001 and 2002. So my question is when did they have American flags on the top of the BP jerseys. I assume after 9/11 in 01 or maybe again in 02? I'm not sure if it was for some 4th of July thing or not. I'm hoping someone on here remembers or an even bigger hope has a photo. Any help is appreciated.

If they did it at all (and obviously they did) it would have been late 2001, just like the regular jerseys.
May have to shoot Marc H at the Tigers an email. You don't know if they had a #59 in there, do you?

Mark, they've got a number 59 batting practice jersey from around 2003.

May I ask why you're hunting 59? I hunt #59 stuff for Todd Van Poppel and Todd Jones.

Any #12...perhaps from 1999 or 2000? #7 from 1996?

All of the Jerseys were gone by the end of the game. They were only $25. Wish I was taller than 5'5" I would have bought a couple to wear. Unless someone wore a weird number that no one else wore for a while, it was pretty impossible to guess who's jersey it was. They had some 14's that were down to my feet so I pretty much knew they were Matt Andersons as he was #14 and very tall. If anyone has anymore info on my jersey let me know.
