Forum Readers-
I have been offered an extremely rare Mark McGwire bat, and would appreciate the "bat experts" opinion on the current market value.
It is a 1992 McGwire Adirondack, model 256B, green ring. Stamped on the bat is "1992 ACLS MARK MCGWIRE ATHLETICS" The knob reads 256B MM (void of the usual batch/year code, as is the norm for post season bats).
On a scale of 1-10 (10 the extreme) for use, it shows about 5 and is uncracked.
The bat was originally purchased many years ago from a Lelands auction.
What is the current market value on such a bat?
I am quite versed in his jerseys and other equipment, however, would appreciate hearing back from those of you who deal in bats.
Thanks.
