recently on ebay:

Troy Aikman Game Helmet......

"You are bidding on TROY AIKMAN AUTOGRAPHED UCLA FULL SIZE AUTHENTIC Game HELMET. We were lucky enough to have obtained this helmet from Troy when he was with the Bruins. This is an official on field helmet with the "AIR" logo on the front and the Schutt sticker and chin strap."

slight problem - the helmet for sale was manufactured 10 years after aikman left ucla (aikman's last year at ucla was 1989, the helmet was manufactured in november of 1999), further it's a schutt youth model. not sure how the sller was able to obtain such an item from troy while "he was with the bruins". upon request the seller emailed me the helmet code - i reported back the problems based on the code info but he apparently wasn't interested and let the auction ride as is... the good news is that it only went for $137....

beautiful rams gamer that sold on ebay for $325 - a steal. very, very rare "square" nop facemask - the shell is even rarer given the factory applied yellow horns beneath suspension rivets and jaw pad rivets.....

---------------------------------

beautiful, mint rams gamer that the seller accepted $250 for after an ebayer asked him to end the auction early - the seller got the short end of this stick.

one of the nicest vikings gamers i've ver seen listed - it sold on ebay for $800+++, rare, factory applied decals beneath suspension rivets - absolutely mint all the way around.

vintage riddell helmet lamps - beautiful collectibles that are exactly what the pros used but are not fitted with their suspension units. many folks that pick these up (they go for $75-$200) junk the lamp parts and fit the shells with suspension units - helmet hut will do the job for around $150. the best results are realized when an authentic suspension unit is taken from another vintage helmet. short of this helmet hut will install one of their reproduction suspenion units (not a good option imho - they just don't look "real" enough). here are a couple of helmet lamps that were fitted with authentic suspension units...

bengals - sold for $245 on ebay.

here's a real gem that recently sold on ebay for $615 - imo it would have fetched twice as much if it were a riddell as opposed to a wilson....
