200 Hit Hitters - Game Used Bats

I was looking at Michael Young's stats of 5 straight 200 hit years and found an interesting article about what 3 of the 4 Rangers All-Stars could accomplish this year. Anybody think these players bats should be worth more if used in a 200 Hit season? Hard to believe Ted Williams never had a 200 Hit year. Here's the link:

Getting 200 hits is obviously an accomplishment, but the reason players like Ted Williams didn't get 200 hit seasons was because they received so many walks. It was a combination of having a good eye and also pitchers preferring to walk him rather than give him pitches to hit. If he had been willing to swing at pitches out of the strike zone more often and/or pitchers had thrown him more strikes he would have gotten more hits. As Young piles up the multi 200 hit seasons that may make his bats more valuable. But I don't think a 200 hit season by itself makes a bat that valuable as too many players have done it.
