Need help with my new 08 Giambi

Please take a look at this bat, what is the scalely barrel considered to be? is it considered dead wood or was the bat made like that?

Some would consider it spamming an auction.

It looks more like cracked paint...

The bat was not made in 2008.

When do you think it was made then? if it was last year then it could still be used in 08. Steiner told me that it was 08.

Wasn't there recently a thread about a Eric Byrnes (I think it was Byrnes) black LVS that had huge amounts of cracked paint, looking almost like alligator skin? BMH said that it likely resulted from a new technique they briefly tried in terms of applying paint, or something like that.

Wonder if this Giambi bat has the same deal?

Thanks for the info, BHM when do you think the bat was made? could it possibly have been used in 08?

I would have to take a closer look at the bat, but it looks like our old UV coating. We did a lot of Giambi's in that coating. The last time we used it was in 2004. That doesn't mean Giambi didn't use it in 2008 though, probably picked it up and it felt good enough to use finally.
