I saw in Malta's book that Cal Ripken ordered some P72 maple bats in 2000 and 2001. That was pre-M9 and "Pro Maple," right? What kind of markings would this bat have? Would it be exactly like the 2000/2001 P72 ash bats, except made of different wood obviously?
